OVERALL
All obstacles must be cleared and completed before a participant is deemed to have completed the event.

If a participant in his/her first attempt fails to clear any obstacle, he/she will have to attempt again. For the Wall Street, Quantum Leap, Monkey Business and Lateral Move obstacles, the subsequent attempt should be made at the RETRY queue.

Participants must faithfully follow the course as marked and directed by the Race Officials.

No participant will be barred from the course, disqualified from the event or moved forward on the course unless such actions are authorized by the Race Director.

Race Management reserves the right to change or alter the course at any time for logistical, weather, safety or other reasons.

Race Management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event in the case of force majeure which may include act of war, pandemic, and acts of Mother Nature which may render the course unsafe, or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Race Management.

All participants must wear an unaltered Urbanathlon race number bib at all times during the race.

Race number bibs must be worn on the front of clothing and be clearly visible throughout the event unless directed otherwise by Race Officials.

Participant race number bibs are specific personal identifiers and must be worn only by the contestant to which the bib is assigned.

Sale and/or unauthorised transfer of race entries/bibs is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.

Usage of all portable media players such as iPods is not recommended during the race.

Participants are to dispose of their litter (paper cups etc) within the water station areas.

CORPORATE CATEGORY
Each corporate team shall comprise of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 runners. The first 3 teams with the fastest accumulated time of their first 3 finishers respectively will be declared winners.

Participants must be full-time employees of the same company. This category is open to all business organisations, including ministries and statutory boards. Winners are required to show their staff pass (or equivalent) for verification before receiving their prizes.

Winners will have their prizes forfeited should they fail to meet these conditions.

All finishers of the corporate category will each receive a team certificate that includes both their team and individual timings.

Prizes are awarded to the top 3 teams. Corporate category participants are also entitled to the Individual category prizes.

TIMING
All participants will receive a D-tag timing chip in the race pack and are required to use it according to the directions provided in the race pack.

All participants should proceed to the start line from 7.00 am. To ensure a smooth race, participants will be flagged off in waves of 1-minute intervals with approximately 100 participants each. The first flag-off is at 7.30 am. Wave starts will be based on the line-up sequence and participants will not be assigned to any specific waves. Competitive participants are advised to arrive early and line up at the Start Pen early.

Runners MUST be punctual, and will not be allowed to run if they miss the last flag-off time.

Participant are to complete the course in the race before the cut-off time specified by the organizer (2.5 hours after the last flag-off), otherwise they would be deemed disqualified.

Race Headquarters shall maintain the official time clock for the competition. The race clock is based on real time; it begins when the race is flagged off.

RESULTS
All results will be posted on the event website within 48-hours after the race. Participants' results will be based on individual D-tag time.

CERTIFICATE
Personalised certificates will be mailed to each participant by 31 March 2013. Certificates will only be mailed to participants with local addresses.

MEDICAL
Participants shall have access to basic first-aid and may continue on in the race without the risk of being disqualified from the event. Medical Personnel and the Race Director have final say with regard to a participant continuing on in the event.

RACE APPEAL
Participants may appeal towards on-course activities (such as others skipping / not completing an obstacle station) no later than one hour after they finish (or stop competing in) the event. Before an appeal can be upheld, all participants affected will meet with the Race Director for review.

Appeals on the top 5 Individual category winners and the top 3 Corporate category teams must be reviewed within 15-minutes after preliminary results of the winners have been announced or posted on the event day. No appeals will be entertained upon expiry of this period.

All appeals must be made in person at the Information Counter. The Race Director will consider the race appeal prior to race results being finalized. Race organisers will have the final say with regard to all issues related to these Rules. Time penalties and disqualifications will be addressed and issued based on each specific circumstance.

AWARDS
Awards will be given out on-site after the race in a prize presentation ceremony, to the top 5 Individual category winners, and the top 3 Corporate category teams. The winners' names will be announced and posted at the Information Counter prior to Prize Presentation. The winners must be present to receive their trophies.

Results and ranking for the Top 5 winners (Individual) and Top 3 winners (Corporate) are according to guntime.

These Rules may be updated regularly and are subject to change. It is highly recommended that you check back regularly, and especially the day before the race for final confirmation.
